SFA C-Division State League 2024 kicks off

Gangtok, May 7:

Sikkim Football Association organised C Division league begins at Paljor stadium. A total of eight teams are playing for the league. On the first day two matches were played. In the first match Hill Stone and Chujachen Spots Association drew a 3-3 score. While in the second match Majhitar Sporting won the match against Sikkim Dragon by 2-0. With this, both teams shared a point each. Rajesh Rai from Chujachen SA was declared player of the match.

The Second Match between Majhitar Sporting Club and Sikkim Dragons FC resulted in Majhitar bagging their first three points of the season, defeating Dragons FC by 2 goals to nil. The goal scorers were Ashish Rai, and Nitesh Chettri. The Player of the Match was Ashish Rai from Majhitar

The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. Kuber Bhandari, President, Sikkim Olympic Association, and the Guest of Honor was Mr. R.B. Biswakarma, Additional Director, Department of Sports and Youth Affairs. The opening match saw a stalemate resulting between the teams, with both teams scoring three goals each.

Eight teams are - Hillstone Football Club, JVC Singtam, Chujachen Sports Academy, United Pacheykhani, Sporting Club, Denzong Boys FC, Majitar SC, Pegong SC and Sikkim Dragon FC.

B Division S League and then Sikkim Premier League 2024 will be held in September.
