Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s iconic 1998 gangster drama Satya will be making its much-awaited return to cinemas this January. PVR Cinemas announced the re-release of the film, set for January 17, 2025, sending fans of the cult classic into a nostalgic frenzy. The announcement was shared on social media with a tagline, "The past can't be buried, and neither can the truth! Get ready to dive into the world of Satya once again at PVR INOX."
Satya, which became a game-changer in Indian cinema, originally starred a stellar cast including Manoj Bajpayee, Shefali Shah, Urmila Matondkar, and JD Chakravarthy. The film, known for its gritty portrayal of Mumbai's underworld, follows the journey of the protagonist Satya, played by Chakravarthy, who finds himself entangled in the criminal world after crossing paths with the notorious gangster Bhiku Mhatre, portrayed by Bajpayee.
