Rewaj Chettri appointed as Officer on Special Duty to Sikkim Chief Minister

According to the order (No. 199/Section-III/DOP), Chettri will be working under the Home Department and will assist the Chief Minister in matters related to skill development and entrepreneurship.

Rewaj Chettri has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The appointment was made official through an office order issued by the Department of Personnel, Government of Sikkim, on May 6, 2025.

According to the order (No. 199/Section-III/DOP), Chettri will be working under the Home Department and will assist the Chief Minister in matters related to skill development and entrepreneurship. The order was signed and issued by the Deputy Secretary to the Government, Department of Personnel.

Rewaj Chettri is the son of Late Taraman Chettri and is a resident of Turuk in Namchi District. He is known for his active involvement in public service and development initiatives, especially related to youth and skills training in South Sikkim. His appointment is seen as a step towards strengthening the Chief Minister’s focus on creating more employment opportunities through skill-based programs.
