Darjeeling MP Raju Bista on Wednesday, September 3, held a meeting with the newly appointed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) mandal-level leaders of the Darjeeling Hill District. The meeting, which also included BJP District President Sanjeev Lama, was aimed at discussing the future direction of the party in the hills and strengthening its presence at the grassroots level.
Bista, who is also the national spokesperson of the BJP, praised the leaders for their energy and commitment. He said their ideas for connecting people with the central government’s development philosophy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” are noteworthy and reflect a desire to bring real change to the region. According to him, the spirit shown by the new team is a sign that the BJP is focusing more closely on village and block-level activities in both Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts.
“The vision of the newly appointed leaders for strengthening the party’s grassroots presence and connecting people with the philosophy championed by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji is praiseworthy. I appreciate their ideas, energy, and commitment toward working for a better future for our people and region,” Bista said.
He further added that he looks forward to working closely with the district and mandal leadership in the coming months. “I applaud their passion for public service and dedication to the vision of a stronger, united Darjeeling,” he said.
