Prem Singh Tamang hails PM Modi’s virtual inauguration of major projects boosting Sikkim’s growth during Golden Jubilee

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang expressed his happiness and gratitude as Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated five important projects on the occasion of the state’s Golden Jubilee celebrations. The projects mark a significant step forward in Sikkim’s journey of progress and development.

The five projects inaugurated by the Prime Minister include the District Hospital at Namchi, the Swarna Jayanti Maitreya Manjari Project at Ridge Park in Gangtok, the Passenger Ropeway at Sangachoeling in Pelling, the Statue of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Atal Amrit Udyan in Sangkhola, and a Gaushala at Mamring in Pakyong District. These projects are expected to improve healthcare, tourism, culture, and animal welfare in the state.

In addition to these inaugurations, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stones for several other important projects aimed at further developing Sikkim’s infrastructure and economy. These include the Swarna Jayanti Convention Centre in Namli, the Swarna Jayanti Sports and Cultural Complex in Gangtok, the Skywalk Project at Bhaley Dhunga in Namchi District, the Nathula Border Experience in Gangtok, the Glass Skywalk Bridge at Singshore in Gyalshing, a Working Women Hostel in Tadong, and a 100-bedded District Hospital in Pakyong.

Chief Minister Tamang said these projects reflect a shared vision of a modern, inclusive, and self-reliant Sikkim. He thanked Prime Minister Modi for his constant support and blessings, which have played a crucial role in the state’s growth.

“These projects will not only help improve the quality of life for the people of Sikkim but also promote tourism and boost the local economy,” the Chief Minister added.
