Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Gangtok on May 29, 2025, the Government of Sikkim’s Home Department has issued important guidelines for the public. These rules are meant to help manage traffic, ensure safety, and make sure the event at Palzor Stadium goes smoothly.

The advisory says that all gates of Palzor Stadium will open for people from 6:30 in the morning. Everyone who wants to enter the stadium or come by vehicle must finish entry by 9 o’clock in the morning. After 9 AM, no vehicles will be allowed to move around near the stadium except for special shuttle buses and emergency vehicles. This is to keep the area safe and avoid traffic jams during the event.

Several key roads and areas around the stadium will be closed to regular traffic from 9 AM until the program ends. These include busy spots like GICI Point, Manan Kendra Fatak, Arithang Fatak, Lal Bazar Fatak, Rinzing Ongmu Fatak, Shyari Road, Deorali Road, and Gurudwara Fatak. Only emergency vehicles and buses that are carrying people who are attending the event will be allowed in these zones.

The government has asked everyone to cooperate with these rules for the smooth conduct of the Prime Minister’s visit. They also urged people to plan their travel accordingly and avoid these restricted areas during the event.
