The Gram Panchayat Unit (GPU) of Phensong under 29-Kabi Lungchok Constituency has extended heartfelt thanks to Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) for allocating a Resource Vehicle (Garbage Collection Vehicle) to their village. The allocation is seen as a major step toward improving sanitation and waste management infrastructure in the region.
The gratitude was conveyed collectively by the Zilla Panchayat, Panchayat Vice President, and Ward Panchayat Members of Phensong GPU, who acknowledged the Chief Minister’s continued focus on the grassroots development of rural Sikkim. Phensong GPU was one of the select GPUs across the entire Mangan District (North Sikkim) to receive this facility — a recognition the panchayat described as a "privilege and honour."
The team also expressed sincere appreciation to Shri Thenlay Tshering Bhutia, the Area MLA and Advisor, for his consistent support and active involvement in addressing local issues. His guidance, they said, has been instrumental in ensuring that Phensong GPU remains on the path of progressive development.
