Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang visited Baiguney under the Zoom-Salghari constituency on Thursday to inspect the upcoming Peacock Park project site. The visit marks a significant moment in the state's efforts to balance development with nature preservation.

During his visit, the Chief Minister closely reviewed the layout of the proposed Peacock Park and inspected the groundwork already in progress. Accompanied by senior officials, engineers, and project stakeholders, he was briefed in detail about the project's timeline, planned features, and the larger vision behind the park.

Speaking after the inspection, CM Tamang expressed confidence in the potential of the Peacock Park project to become a key eco-tourism destination in the region. He said the project aims not only to attract tourists but also to preserve and showcase the natural beauty and biodiversity of Baiguney and its surrounding areas.

"The project holds great promise for promoting eco-tourism and preserving the natural habitat of the region," the Chief Minister said. He further stressed the importance of building the park in an eco-friendly way. CM Tamang also held detailed discussions with the team working on the project. He interacted with the engineers, architects, and local authorities involved, giving suggestions to help improve the planning and execution of the work.
