Paru Ruchal assumes charge as Senior Superintendent of Police of Pakyong district

Paru Ruchal officially took over as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Pakyong District on Wednesday. Her appointment marks a significant development in the district’s law enforcement leadership, as she brings with her a wealth of experience from her previous tenure as SSP of the Special Branch.
Ms Ruchal, known for her sharp acumen in intelligence and internal security, was welcomed with honour and enthusiasm by officers and personnel of the Sikkim Police at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Pakyong. Upon her arrival, a formal Guard of Honour was presented by the police contingent, signifying the ceremonial beginning of her responsibilities in the district.
The official handover of charge took place in the chamber of the Superintendent of Police, where Ms Dhan Maya Subba, the outgoing SP of Pakyong, handed over the reins to Ms Ruchal. Ms Subba, who served the district with dedication, will now transition to her new assignment as Vigilance Officer in the Power Department.
