Omisha Enterprise FC from Siliguri advanced confidently to the semi-final stage of the 79th Independence Day Open Knockout Football Tournament, hosted by Pakyong Sporting Club in partnership with the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Pakyong. The thrilling quarter-final match took place today at the St. Xavier’s School Playground, Pakyong.

In a tightly contested game, Omisha Enterprise FC defeated Mrunal FC of Kolkata with a scoreline of 2-1, securing their place among the top four teams. Pritam Subba of Omisha Enterprise FC was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance, which was key to his team’s success.

The match was honoured by the presence of several dignitaries, with the chief guest being Mr. Delay Namgyal Barfungpa, Hon’ble MLA of the 27-Gangtok Constituency and Advisor to the Food & Civil Supplies Department and Urban Development Department. Alongside him were respected officials including Mr. Thendup Lepcha (SDM HQ), Mr. Dakman Subba (SDM Pakyong), Mr. Narayan Mishra (Chief Education Officer), and many others from various departments.
