Namchi Public School and St Joseph School shine at 1st Sikkim State Inter-School Badminton Championship

The Badminton Association of Sikkim, affiliated with the Badminton Association of India (BAI), successfully wrapped up the finals of the 1st Sikkim State Inter-School Badminton Championship 2025. The exciting event was held at the Indoor Badminton Hall in Paljor Stadium, Gangtok.

Namchi Public School emerged as the standout team of the tournament. They dominated the Under-17 Boys’ Team Championship and also took home the titles in the Under-19 Boys’ Singles and Doubles categories. Their strong performance reflected excellent training and teamwork.

In the girls’ category, St Joseph School from Martam made a strong impression. The school secured the top honours by winning both the Under-19 Girls’ Singles and Doubles events, showcasing the growing talent among young female players in the state.

Don Bosco School, Malbasey, also left its mark on the championship by winning the Under-17 Girls’ Team Championship, adding another highlight to the competitive tournament.
