Namchi Police bust drug racket, seize heroin and capsules in Ravangla

The Namchi District Police have caught a drug peddler and seized a large amount of banned substances from his home and vehicle in Ravangla. The arrest was made earlier today after the police received a tip-off about drug activity in the area.

The person who has been caught is identified as Mangal Singh Subba, also known as Chuchu. He is believed to be a known drug peddler in the region. Acting quickly on the information, the police team from Namchi organized a raid at his house. After searching the house carefully, the police also checked his taxi vehicle. Both the house and the taxi were thoroughly searched.

During the operation, the police recovered suspected heroin and a large number of Windlas Spasmo capsules, which are often misused as drugs. These substances are banned under Indian law, and their possession and sale are considered serious crimes.

After the recovery of the drugs, the police have registered a criminal case against Mangal Singh Subba under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, and the Sikkim Anti-Drugs Act (SADA), 2006. The case has been filed at the Ravangla Police Station, and further investigation is now underway.
