The Mountain Rush – Sikkim TSD Car Rally 2025 reached an exciting milestone today as Leg 1 came to a successful close in the picturesque alpine town of Lachung. The inaugural stage of the rally saw drivers and navigators tackle challenging mountain roads and unpredictable weather, marking a thrilling start to what promises to be a landmark motorsport event.

Flagged off from Ridge Park in Gangtok earlier in the day, participants navigated through steep ascents and narrow mountain tracks. The rally was organized under the watchful eyes of officials from the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), ensuring a safe and regulated competition. Drivers followed tulip-based navigation charts, making their way through multiple hidden Time Control checkpoints designed to test their precision, speed, and coordination.

The rally's route included challenging terrain with high-altitude gradients, requiring participants to maintain average speeds while negotiating hairpin turns and fluctuating weather conditions. Spectators, including both locals and tourists, gathered at key viewing points, offering encouragement and adding to the electric atmosphere of the event.
