A crucial meeting of the Monitoring Committee for the Multipurpose Christian Community Centre and Nandok Prayer Tower was convened on April 28, 2025, at the Platinum Jubilee Hall, EPCS Church Road, Gangtok. The session, overseen by Shri G.T. Dhungel, Hon'ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, as well as the Culture Department of the Government of Sikkim, saw active participation from over 20 Reverends, Pastors, Elders, and other distinguished leaders from various Christian organizations in the state.
The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the progress of the Nandok Prayer Tower project, specifically focusing on the early mutation of the Nandok Prayer Tower land under the Committee Registration for the Monitoring Committee for the Multipurpose Christian Community Centre. The meeting decided on laying the foundation stone for the Nandok Prayer Tower Project, with a tentative ceremony planned for October or November 2025. This significant event will involve a collaboration of various Christian organizations, including the United Christian Welfare Society of Sikkim (UCWSS), the All Sikkim Christian Organization (ASCO), and the Sikkim Pentecostal Church Council (SPCC).
