MLA Samdup Tshering Bhutia graces Sikkim Premier League as Chief Guest at Baichung Stadium

Football lovers in Namchi had a joyful day on the 13th day of the Sikkim Premier League (SPL) 2025 as MLA of Tumin Lingi Constituency, Samdup Tshering Bhutia, attended the matches at Baichung Stadium as the Chief Guest. His visit added great energy to the event, with fans and players excited to welcome him.
Bhutia received a warm welcome from a large crowd of enthusiastic spectators, local residents, and guests. He was accompanied by several important youth leaders, including State Youth Vice Convenor Angu Lepcha, Youth Vice Convenor Kama Bhattarai and Youth Convenor Paras Pandey. Panchayat Presidents, Panchayat members, and many young boys and girls from the area were also present.
During his speech, Bhutia praised the Sikkim Premier League for giving young football players a chance to show their skills. He said that sports are important for the development of youth and that such events help in building strong communities. He also said that the SPL is more than just a football competition—it is a way to bring people together from all parts of the state.
“The Sikkim Premier League is not just a tournament—it is a movement that unites districts, nurtures young talent, and showcases our state’s passion for football,” said Bhutia.
