Tshering T. Bhutia, Minister for Commerce & Industries and Tourism & Civil Aviation, proudly represented Sikkim at the Ambassador’s Meet for the upcoming North East Investors Summit 2025, which took place on April 15 at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi.

The event, organized by FICCI in collaboration with the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MoDONER), was a significant platform for showcasing the investment potential of the region. It saw the participation of over 40 countries and was attended by Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with other senior dignitaries. The discussions focused on key sectors such as Organic Farming, Tourism, Renewable Energy, IT, and Health & Wellness—areas that are already being prioritized under the visionary leadership of Sikkim's Chief Minister, Shri Prem Singh Tamang-Golay.

During the meet, Minister Bhutia, accompanied by Shri M. Ravikumar, Director (MSME), highlighted Sikkim's investor-friendly ecosystem, which has been shaped by the proactive governance of Chief Minister Tamang. The state’s commitment to sustainable development and green initiatives was emphasized as a key factor in attracting investments. “Sikkim is quickly becoming a recognized green investment hub in the Northeast,” Minister Bhutia stated, reflecting on the growing interest from several nations.

The upcoming North East Investors Summit 2025, set to take place in May in Delhi, will provide a platform for Sikkim to further enhance global partnerships and attract investments that foster inclusive economic growth.
