Milan Samaj Sewa Samiti forms new executive body, launches membership drive at Melli Dara

The General Meeting of Milan Samaj Sewa Samiti, Melli Dara, was held today at the Auditorium of Melli Gumpa Senior Secondary School with active participation from members and well-wishers of the organisation. The meeting, which was presided over by Ms. Prischila Limboo, became a platform for discussion on several issues concerning the Samiti and its role in strengthening social welfare activities in the locality.

One of the major highlights of the gathering was the decision to form a new Executive Committee to take forward the work of the organisation in a more systematic manner. The participants expressed the view that a strong and effective leadership was needed to carry out the Samiti’s social responsibilities and community programmes.

The new Executive Committee was unanimously formed with Shri Jaganath Sharma taking charge as the President. Supporting him in leadership, Shri Narad Khanal and Shrimati Kumari Pradhan were nominated as Vice Presidents. The responsibility of Secretary was entrusted to Shri Rudra Karki, while Shri Rajendra Lama was named Joint Secretary. The role of Treasurer went to Shri Shiv Kumar Pradhan, and Shri Shiv Kumar Chettri was nominated as Joint Treasurer. To look after outreach and publicity, Shri Rabin Sharma and Shri Prem Rai were entrusted with the role of Publicity Secretaries.
