Massive landslide blocks road to Chagelakha in Dalpachand after continuous rainfall

A massive landslide struck near the turning point leading to Chagelakha in Dalpachand, under the Chujachen constituency, following continuous heavy rainfall since last night. The landslide has severely impacted local connectivity, as soil, large boulders, and uprooted trees tumbled down the hillside, completely blocking the road.

The incident has caused major disruption for residents in the area, particularly those dependent on the route for daily travel and essential supplies. The landslide site, located on a vital link road to Chagelakha, has become impassable, prompting immediate concern among the local population.

As of now, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries. However, movement in the area remains at a standstill, and local authorities are assessing the damage and planning clearance operations. Officials from the concerned department are expected to visit the site shortly to begin restoration work.
