Marathon Man of Sikkim Amar Subba arrives in Namsai for Golden Pagoda Marathon 2025

Amar Subba, popularly known as the "Marathon Man of Sikkim," along with his team, has safely arrived in Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, ahead of the much-awaited Golden Pagoda Marathon 2025. The marathon is scheduled to take place on February 9, 2025, and is expected to attract top runners from different parts of the country.
This year, Amar Subba has been given a special guest invitation to attend the prestigious event. The Department of Tourism, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, in collaboration with the District Administration, Namsai, has extended this honor to him in recognition of his remarkable contribution to long-distance running and his inspiring journey in the world of athletics.
Speaking about this opportunity, Amar Subba expressed his gratitude to the organizers for their warm gesture. He said that it was a matter of great pride and honor for him and for the state of Sikkim to be recognized at such a significant sporting event.
Amar Subba has arrived in Namsai along with his Team AMAS, which consists of talented runners participating in different marathon categories. The details of the team members and their respective race distances are as follows:
Anuda Tamang – 21 Km (Half Marathon)
Shanti Rai – 42 Km (Full Marathon)
Bibek Dahal – 10 Km Run
