The Culture Department’s Kuzu Heritage Walk, themed "Exploring the Timeless Heritage of Sikkim," reached its 7th day today with an enriching experience for all participants. The event was graced by Ms. Kathy Giles Diaz, the U.S. Consul General of Kolkata, along with her husband, Miguel Diaz, and their daughter, who joined a diverse group of participants. The group included visitors from New Jersey, United States, and Darjeeling, highlighting the global appeal of Sikkim's cultural legacy.
The walk, which aims to showcase the rich and diverse heritage of the state, also saw enthusiastic participation from local school students. Students from Enchey Sr. Sec. School and The Heritage School of Sikkim took part in the walk, gaining firsthand experience of the state's cultural landmarks and history.
As part of the ongoing Heritage Walk, participants explored various historical and cultural sites, delving into the traditions, architecture, and stories that have shaped Sikkim over the centuries. The walk has become a unique opportunity to promote cultural exchange and foster a deeper understanding of Sikkim’s heritage on both local and international fronts.
