Komal Chamling is interested in politics: SDF Spokesperson M.N. Dahal on her role in party’s future

Amid growing speculation about Komal Chamling, daughter of former Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, playing a larger role in the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF), party spokesperson M.N. Dahal offered a cautious response regarding her political future.

When asked about Komal Chamling’s leadership role in shaping the party’s future, Dahal said, “Look, there is no such intention in democracy. Komal Chamling is interested in politics. This is true. Now, what Komal Chamling will do in the party, how she will work and what her intentions are—that she can only tell and decide.”

While he refrained from making any definitive statements about her future role, Dahal did said that Komal Chamling is a strong and well-established party cadre. He added, “As for now, I can only tell this much that Komal Chamling is a good party worker, a very good party cadre. Only that much I can tell.”
