Khas community thanks Sikkim Police and CM Tamang for support in Samson Tamang case

The All Sikkim Khas Chettri Bahun Kalyan Sangh (ASKCBKS) has expressed its gratitude to the Sikkim Police, Chief Minister P.S. Golay, and various community-based organizations for their unwavering support in the Samson Tamang case.

In a statement, ASKCBKS thanked the Sikkim Police for their diligence in pursuing the case, which involved hate comments made against the Khas community. “We appreciate the Sikkim Police for initiating prompt legal action and ensuring the swift arrest of Samson Tamang,” the organization stated.

The community organization also extended special thanks to Chief Minister P.S. Golay and supporting groups for standing firmly in favor of the Khas community throughout the case.

The arrest of Samson Tamang on February 19, 2025, marked the culmination of a 13-day manhunt led by SDPO Tashi Chopel Bhutia, with support from Bihar Police. The successful operation highlighted the Sikkim Police’s commitment to ensuring justice and addressing community concerns.
