A delegation of 21 members, including the President, Gram Panchayat members, and office staff from Kodakara Gram Panchayat, Thrissur District, Kerala, visited the Gangtok Municipal Corporation (GMC) today to gain insights into the waste management system implemented by the corporation.

The team was warmly received by Mayor Nell Bahadur Chettri, Municipal Commissioner R.B. Bhandari, and other officials of GMC. During their visit, they were given a detailed PowerPoint presentation by Municipal Engineer Tsewang Bhutia, explaining various aspects of solid waste management, the challenges involved, and the corporation’s recent outsourcing initiative with private firm GNS Builders.
