In a bid to enhance the beauty and safety of Jorethang town, the Nayabazaar - Jorethang Nagar Panchayat (NJNP) has launched a drive to remove unnecessary wires across the Jorethang Bazaar. The initiative, which officially began today, aims to give the busy market area a cleaner and more organized appearance while ensuring that essential wiring is properly installed and maintained.
Officials of NJNP said the move is part of a larger beautification plan for the town, which includes improvements in public spaces, roads, and street aesthetics. “We want to make Jorethang not just a place for shopping but also a town where people feel safe and comfortable,” a senior NJNP official said. “The removal of tangled and unused wires will reduce hazards and improve the overall look of the bazaar.”
The Nagar Panchayat has appealed to residents, shopkeepers, and other stakeholders to cooperate fully with the teams carrying out the work. Authorities stressed that the cooperation of local people is crucial for the success of the drive and for maintaining a cleaner, safer environment.
