The Jansamvad Social Welfare Council India organized an impactful Anti-Drug Awareness Programme at ITI Rangpo under the compelling theme “Let’s Break the Chain of Addiction.” The event, held amid growing concerns over rising drug abuse among youth, witnessed active participation from students, educators, and members of the local community.
The programme sought to spread awareness about the long-term dangers of substance abuse while fostering a culture of prevention and resilience among the younger generation. A series of engaging and thought-provoking talks were delivered by a panel of experts, including experienced social workers, counselors, and dedicated volunteers. Their message was loud and clear: drug abuse not only destroys individual lives but also tears apart families and communities.
Many speakers shared powerful real-life stories of recovery and loss, drawing an emotional response from the audience. These narratives served as both a cautionary tale and a beacon of hope, showing that with the right support and willpower, the cycle of addiction can be broken.
The students of ITI Rangpo turned out in large numbers, interacting with the speakers and participating in group discussions. The faculty too extended strong support, emphasizing the role of educational institutions in addressing social issues like drug abuse. Community leaders attending the event appreciated the initiative and pledged their support in carrying the message further.
