IPS Officer Tenzing Loden Lepcha has officially taken over as the new Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Gangtok Range, marking a new chapter in the leadership of Sikkim Police. The transition of responsibility took place in the presence of senior officers and officials, with outgoing DIG Pratap Pradhan formally handing over charge to his successor.
The change in command is seen as a significant development in the state’s law enforcement hierarchy, especially given the strategic importance of the Gangtok Range in maintaining peace and public order.
