In a proactive move to strengthen national security measures and ensure compliance with foreigner registration laws, the Gyalshing District Police successfully conducted a sensitization programme on Form-C at VAC Hall, Hee Gaon. The event was aimed at owners and managers of hotels, homestays, and lodges operating under the jurisdiction of Dentam Police Station.

The awareness session, held under the directive of the Superintendent of Police, Gyalshing District, was led by PI Aita Hang Subba, Station House Officer (SHO) of Dentam Police Station. The programme focused on educating accommodation providers about the mandatory submission of Form-C for every foreign national staying at their properties, as per government regulations.

During the session, PI Subba provided a detailed explanation of the Foreigners Act, 1946, and the Registration of Foreigners Rules, 1992, highlighting the legal responsibilities of hospitality providers. Emphasis was placed on the penal consequences of non-compliance, which can include heavy fines or legal action. The initiative aims to ensure that all guest houses and homestays report foreigner details in a timely manner through the online Form-C portal, a critical tool used by law enforcement agencies to monitor the movement of foreign nationals.

Officials from SIB Uttarey and SB Dentam were also present during the event, offering insights and assisting in resolving technical or procedural doubts raised by participants. They underlined the national security significance of timely and accurate reporting of foreign guest data, stressing that such practices not only support government surveillance systems but also contribute to the broader safety of the region.
