Sikkim Governor, Om Prakash Mathur, paid a courtesy visit to Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Saturday. The meeting focused on strengthening the partnership between the Centre and the State, with key discussions revolving around ongoing central schemes and regional security concerns.
During the interaction, Governor Mathur briefed the Union Minister on the implementation status of various Central Government-sponsored programmes across Sikkim. He highlighted how these schemes are contributing to the socio-economic development of the hill state and expressed gratitude for the Centre’s continuous support.
Mathur also sought the Union Minister’s guidance on expanding infrastructure, improving connectivity, and bolstering the state’s developmental agenda, particularly in border and rural areas.
