Governor Om Prakash Mathur marks 73rd birthday with celebrations at Raj Bhawan

The 73rd birthday of Sikkim’s 18th Governor, Om Prakash Mathur was celebrated with great enthusiasm today at Raj Bhawan. The special occasion was attended by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang along with Cabinet Ministers, MLAs and other distinguished guests, who came together to honor the Governor and his contributions to the state.

A grand cultural program marked the event at Ashirwad Bhawan, where traditional Sikkimese performances were showcased. The performances were a tribute to Governor Mathur’s significant role in the state's governance. In his address, Chief Minister Tamang expressed extended congratulations to the Governor, acknowledging his invaluable support. “Your guidance and vision have played a pivotal role in steering Sikkim towards progress and development,” Chief Minister Tamang said.

The celebration was graced by several notable dignitaries, including Rajasthan’s Forest and Tourism Minister Sanjay Sharma, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly and Justices Meenakshi Madan Rai and Bhaskar Raj Pradhan from the Sikkim High Court.
