Governor of Sikkim extends greetings on Losar celebration

Marking the joyous occasion of Losar, a delegation from the Tibetan Settlement Office and representatives of the Tibetan community in Gangtok called on Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur at Raj Bhavan on March 1.

The delegation extended warm wishes to the Governor, celebrating the beginning of the Tibetan New Year—a festival rooted in prayers, traditions, and cultural festivities. Losar, derived from “Lho” (year) and “Sar” (new), symbolizes renewal, prosperity, and happiness.
