Foundation stone laid for Dolma Tara Devi Statue at Kabi-Lungchok

A historic step toward spiritual and cultural enrichment was marked at Loop Garden in Kabi-Rongong GPU, 29 Kabi-Lungchok Constituency, with the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Dolma Tara Devi Statue. The event was held under the initiative of Hon’ble Area MLA and Advisor Shri Thenlay Tshering Bhutia, signaling the beginning of a project aimed at promoting peace, devotion, and spiritual tourism in the region.

The auspicious ceremony was graced by the revered presence of His Holiness Kartok Rimpoche, who performed the sacred rituals, invoking blessings for the successful completion of the statue. The event was steeped in religious significance and drew large participation from the local community, highlighting the deep spiritual roots that define the cultural fabric of the region.

Attendees included Zilla Panchayat Members, the Panchayat President, Panchayat Members, retired government officials, senior citizens, and numerous devotees who gathered in unity to witness the momentous occasion.

Speaking at the ceremony, MLA Thenlay Tshering Bhutia extended his heartfelt gratitude to His Eminence Kartok Rimpoche for his divine presence and blessings. He also thanked the local community for their continuous support in preserving and promoting the spiritual and cultural identity of the constituency.

“The construction of the Dolma Tara Devi Statue is not just a physical project, but a sacred journey that reflects our collective belief in peace, compassion, and spiritual growth,” said Bhutia. He said that the statue would become a symbol of faith and a beacon for spiritual tourism in the years to come.
