Pujan Khadka, a senior advocate and former candidate of the Citizen Action Party (CAP) from the Gyalsing-Bermiok constituency in the 2024 General Elections, officially joined the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) today. His formal induction into the party took place at the official residence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) in Gangtok.

The inclusion of Shri Khadka, a respected legal professional and prominent political figure in West Sikkim, is seen as a strategic gain for the SKM. His decision to join the ruling party signals growing support for the government’s development-oriented policies and the Chief Minister’s leadership.

Later in the afternoon, Shri Khadka visited the SKM Party Headquarters, where he was warmly received by SKM Working President and Hon’ble Minister Shri Kunga Nima Lepcha. The meeting symbolized the beginning of a shared commitment to build a Sunaulo, Samriddha ani Samarth Sikkim—a golden, prosperous, and empowered Sikkim—under the guidance of Chief Minister Golay.

Shri Khadka was accompanied by Shri Loknath Nepal, the sitting MLA from Geyzing-Bermiok, further emphasizing unity and collaboration within the constituency. Party leaders and workers hailed the development as a reinforcement of SKM’s grassroots strength and its inclusive approach to governance.

Speaking briefly after the welcome meeting, Khadka expressed his belief in the SKM Party’s vision and affirmed his commitment to work for the welfare of the people. “I look forward to contributing meaningfully to the party’s mission and to the continued progress of Sikkim under the dynamic leadership of our Chief Minister,” he said.
