Exciting finals of 1st Sikkim State Inter School Badminton Championship underway in Gangtok

The much-awaited finals of the 1st Sikkim State Inter School Badminton Championship-2025 began today at the Indoor Badminton Court in Paljor Stadium, Gangtok. This two-day championship has brought together the best young shuttlers from across the state to compete for the prestigious title.

The tournament was officially declared open by the Hon’ble Minister for Education and Sports, Shri Raju Basnet, in a ceremony attended by Shri Jacob Khaling Rai, President of the Badminton Association of Sikkim, along with other key members of the association’s executive team. Their presence highlighted the importance of promoting sports and nurturing young talent in Sikkim.

The championship has generated significant excitement among players, coaches, and sports enthusiasts. Tomorrow’s final matches are set to be graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang, whose presence will add prestige to the concluding day of this inaugural event.
