Two linemen sustained critical injuries after an electric pole collapsed at Lingdok Phempo Gaon on Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 9 a.m., when the workers were reportedly engaged in routine maintenance work on the village’s power supply line.
The linemen were working on the overhead wires when the pole, weakened at its base, suddenly gave way. The heavy structure fell with full force, pinning both men underneath.
