A stray dog was brutally stabbed near Atal Setu, Rangpo, West Bengal. The gruesome incident, captured in a viral video on Facebook, has sparked public outrage. The People For Animals (PFA) Sikkim has filed an FIR with the Rangpo Check Post under Lava Police Station, urging authorities to take immediate action against the unidentified perpetrator.

According to PFA Sikkim, the attacker stabbed the helpless animal and left the knife lodged in its body. Miraculously, the dog survived despite the severe injury. The video evidence circulating online has drawn widespread condemnation from animal rights activists and the general public.

PFA Sikkim, a registered non-profit working for animal welfare, has demanded that the police identify and apprehend the culprit based on the video footage. The organization has also urged strict legal action under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act to prevent such crimes in the future.

"We request the authorities to ensure justice for this innocent animal. Such acts of cruelty must not go unpunished," said Anu Thami, President of PFA Sikkim. The organization has assured full cooperation in the investigation and has submitted screenshots and video links as evidence.
