Darjeeling MP Raju Bista pays tribute to jawans on Independence Day

Darjeeling MP Raju Bista began the 79th Independence Day celebrations on August 15 by hoisting the National Flag at his residence in Siliguri. The moment was filled with patriotic spirit as he joined citizens across the country in observing the day of freedom with pride and respect.
In his message, Bista highlighted the importance of the nationwide campaign Har Ghar Tiranga, launched under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President J.P. Nadda. He said that the clarion call for this movement has brought the people of India together, binding every household and every citizen with the common thread of patriotism. According to him, the tricolour is not only a symbol of freedom but also a reminder of the sacrifices made by countless heroes who fought for the nation’s independence.
The MP also used the occasion to pay heartfelt tributes to the brave jawans of the country. He said that the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of soldiers and their families continue to safeguard the freedom that citizens enjoy today. “We remember and pay our deepest respect to all our jawans and their family members. Their sacrifices make our freedom possible,” Bista said.
