Darjeeling MP Raju Bista joins Kiren Rijiju in celebrating North East’s vibrant culture

Darjeeling MP Raju Bista on January 19 expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate the cultural vibrancy of the North East states and the Darjeeling region at an event hosted by Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju at his residence.
Speaking on the significance of the gathering, Bista said, “Today, I had the pleasure of joining Hon’ble Union Minister Kiren Rijiju ji to celebrate the vibrant colours of the ‘Ashtalakshmi of India’ – the eight North Eastern states, along with the Darjeeling hills, Terai and Dooars.”
The meeting served as a platform to connect with prominent citizens and representatives of various organizations from the North East who have made Delhi their home. Bista praised Rijiju’s dedication to representing the North East region and its people, calling him a “guardian” for the community.
“Kiren ji has proudly represented the NE region with great dedication and commitment. It was a wonderful opportunity to interact with such a vibrant group of individuals. I look forward to our collective efforts to ensure better coordination among all people from the North East region,” Bista added.
