Top parliamentary leaders from the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone 3 have arrived in Gangtok for a three-day Executive Committee meeting to be held from April 2 to April 5, 2025. The high-profile delegation, comprising Speakers, Deputy Speakers, and senior officials from eight northeastern states, was warmly received by officials of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly (SLA) upon their arrival at a local hotel.

The delegates were greeted by Speaker of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly (SLA) Mingma Norbu Sherpa, Deputy Speaker Raj Kumari Thapa, SLA Secretary Lalit Kumar Gurung, Principal Director Karma T. Gyatso Bhutia, and other officials. The CPA India Region consists of nine zones, encompassing 31 legislatures, with Zone 3 representing the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
