CM Tamang seeks blessings from HE Serdup Dungzin Rinpoche, assures support for upcoming funeral ceremony

Sikkim Chief Minister Mr. Prem Singh Tamang met with His Eminence Serdup Dungzin Rinpoche of Serdup Choeling Monastery (Alley Gumpa), Namchi, at his official residence, Mintokgang, on Sunday. The visit was marked by spiritual reverence and heartfelt discussions on matters of religious significance.

The Chief Minister sought blessings from His Eminence and took the opportunity to enquire about the Rinpoche’s health and well-being. The meeting also included a discussion on the forthcoming funeral ceremony of His Holiness Kyabje Soktshe Rinpoche of Khechupalri, which is scheduled for April 18.

Expressing deep respect for the spiritual leader, Chief Minister Tamang assured that the State Government will take full responsibility for organizing and managing the upcoming funeral ceremony. He emphasized that all preparations will be carried out with the highest level of devotion and dignity, in line with religious traditions and public sentiments.

Accompanying the Chief Minister during the meeting were Minister Mr. Sonam Lama and Minister Mr. T.T. Bhutia, both of whom are closely associated with spiritual and cultural affairs in the state.
