CM Tamang lauds KCF’s education reforms, backs charter school initiative

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang expressed appreciation for the ongoing efforts of the Katalytic Charter Education Foundation (KCF) during a recent meeting, highlighting the foundation’s pivotal role in bringing transformative reforms to the state's education sector.
The Chief Minister praised KCF for launching the Chief Minister’s Charter School (CMCS) at Pangthang Junior High School in 2024 under a pioneering public-private partnership model. He said the initiative represents a significant step forward in redefining quality education in Sikkim.
KCF’s focus on innovative learning methods such as play-based pedagogy, the Parakh assessment framework, and its emphasis on strengthening foundational literacy and numeracy has begun to show promising outcomes, he noted.
CM Tamang also welcomed KCF’s upcoming nine-month Statewide Remedial and Enrichment Program, which aims to support Grade 10 CBSE students through intensive training and performance tracking. He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting KCF’s mission to uplift and transform education standards across Sikkim.
