CM starts Janta Bhet Ghat public outreach programme for Lachen -Mangan constituency

Gangtok, Sept 25:

A four-day-long SKM government's public outreach program for North Sikkim begins, CM to hear the pleas and grievances of the public of Lachen -Mangan, Dzongu, and Kabi Lungchok constituencies. The outreach program has been named Janata Bhet Karyakram this particular program is focussed for Lachen Mangan. On the way to North Sikkim accorded with a warm welcome at various places. During the program, the Chief Minister will interact with people and hear the pleas and demands of the three constituencies.

This is the CM's second visit to North Sikkim and the first time for the Lachen- Mangan constituency after government formation in 2019. It must be informed here that the parliamentary as well as legislative election is seven months away.

In the last election, SKM won 2 constituency seats which are Lachen - Mangan and Kabi- Lungchok constituencies out of three constituencies, and lost the Dzongu constituency which is a primitive tribe constituency (Lepcha tribe) this time SKM is trying to win the Dzongu also for 2024 election.

Meanwhile Minister Sonam Lama also in -charge North Sikkim said this visit is very significant as all the government functionaries accompany CM to ease the public work and this is a sort of doorstep administration and this will help people of the Lachen Mangan constituency. He also said in the last election we failed to win one seat from a total of three seats and this time we are confident we will win all three seats I by mistake failed to win then I will resign from politics.
