Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Friday said it was a spiritually uplifting experience to meet His Eminence Lhatul Rinpoche of Sreebadam Monastery. The meeting took place at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Gangtok earlier in the day.

Describing the interaction as “truly blessed and spiritually enriching,” Tamang said it gave him a chance to seek the divine blessings of the respected Rinpoche. The Chief Minister said they also exchanged thoughts on how to promote mutual well-being, spiritual growth, and the timeless values of compassion and harmony.

Tamang noted that such meetings are important not only for personal spiritual guidance but also for strengthening the cultural and moral foundation of the state. He said Sikkim, with its deep-rooted traditions and faith, continues to draw inspiration from spiritual leaders who guide people towards unity, peace, and service to others.

Sreebadam Monastery, located in West Sikkim, is known for its centuries-old Buddhist heritage and for nurturing a community devoted to prayer, learning, and service. Followers believe that blessings from eminent monks like Lhatul Rinpoche bring spiritual strength and moral clarity.
