The Sikkim Sarathi Idol is not just a singing competition—it is a platform that recognizes the hidden talents of Sikkim’s taxi drivers, often known as “Sarathis”, who are the backbone of local transportation in the state. This year’s edition saw spirited participation from drivers across the region, who showcased their musical talents and passion for performance.

Chief Minister Tamang, in his address, praised the efforts of the Central Joint Action Committee for organizing such an inclusive and meaningful event. He highlighted the importance of such platforms in empowering the working community and encouraging their artistic sides. “Our sarathis are not only navigating roads but also have the ability to navigate hearts through their talent,” he said.
