Citizen Action Party welcomes prominent leaders, strengthens reform agenda in Sikkim

The Citizen Action Party (CAP) on Wednesday welcomed two prominent leaders into its fold. Shri Tika Gurung, a founding member of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) and resident of Rinchenpong, along with Shri B.B. Rai of Rinchenpong in Soreng District, West Sikkim, were officially inducted into the CAP family.
The induction ceremony witnessed a warm reception from the party leadership, with CAP President Shri Ganesh Kumar Rai personally welcoming the new members. Speaking on the occasion, Rai said that the addition of Gurung and Rai reflects the party’s growing appeal and its commitment to people-centered governance. “Together, we march forward for a better, stronger, and reformed Sikkim,” he said, underscoring the party’s vision of reform and active public service.
Tika Gurung, known for his early role in SKM’s formation, expressed enthusiasm about joining CAP, highlighting the party’s focus on transparency, development, and citizens’ welfare. Similarly, B.B. Rai conveyed his readiness to work towards meaningful reforms at the grassroots level and contribute to the party’s mission of serving the people of West Sikkim.
