The Citizen Action Party Sikkim (CAP-S) on Friday marked the 50th State Day of Sikkim with a grand celebration at its Zonal Party Office in Ramphu. The event saw a significant turnout of party leaders and workers, including Vice Presidents, District Presidents, General Secretaries, members of the Women’s Council and Youth Welfare Council, and party spokespersons. Party President Ganesh K. Rai attended as the chief guest.

The event featured cultural performances such as patriotic songs and poetry recitations that added a vibrant touch to the occasion. Addressing the gathering, President Ganesh Rai congratulated the people of Sikkim on the Golden Jubilee of Statehood and reflected on the state’s progress over the past five decades.

Rai praised Sikkim’s contributions to national unity and development but expressed deep concern over the prevailing political atmosphere. “Today, Sikkim has become a victim of a flawed political trend marked by individualism, corruption, and undemocratic practices,” he said. “In such times, Citizen Action Party Sikkim stands as the only viable alternative for the people.”

He emphasized the party’s commitment to a new political culture rooted in accountability, transparency, and dedicated leadership. “We honour the glorious legacy of Sikkim and pledge to uphold its values by serving the people with integrity,” Rai added.
