Citizen Action Party appoints Albert Gurung as Coordinator of All Sikkim Student Welfare Council

The Citizen Action Party–Sikkim (CAP–S) has appointed youth leader and party spokesperson Shri Albert Gurung as the Coordinator of the All Sikkim Student Welfare Council. The appointment, which comes with additional responsibilities, takes effect immediately.

According to the party’s official statement, the decision was taken under the provisions of Article 27(a)(ii & iv) of the CAP–S Constitution. The appointment was made by the Party President, reflecting the leadership’s confidence in Gurung’s capability to engage with student communities and address their needs effectively.

Gurung, known for his active role in youth mobilisation and public outreach, has been a prominent face of the party in recent years. His appointment is seen as a step towards creating a stronger bridge between the student community and policy discussions, ensuring that young voices are heard in the socio-political space of Sikkim.
