Chief Secretary VB Pathak chaired a crucial meeting at the Tashiling Secretariat on Tuesday to review the preparations for Sikkim's upcoming Golden Jubilee celebrations. The meeting was attended by R Telang, Additional Chief Secretary of Education, along with Heads of Departments (HoDs) from various state departments.
The session focused on several key aspects of the celebrations, including the design of mementoes and commemorative coins, aimed at symbolizing the significance of the Golden Jubilee. These items are expected to serve as meaningful tokens of the state's rich history and cultural heritage.
Discussions also centered around the project arrangements of multiple departments, including the Power Department, Buildings and Housing Department, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, and the Education Department. Each department provided detailed updates on their respective plans, ensuring that all necessary measures are in place for a seamless execution of the event.
In addition, urban development and town planning strategies were reviewed to ensure that infrastructure projects align with the long-term developmental goals of the state.
