Career counseling and awareness program on adolescence and drug abuse held at Yangang Senior Secondary school

A career counseling and awareness program focusing on adolescence and drug abuse was held today at the Yangang Senior Secondary School auditorium. The event was graced by Raj Kumari Thapa, Deputy Speaker who attended as the chief guest.

Renowned resource persons, Shri AD Chettri, Additional Director of the Education Department, and Shri Naresh Chettri, Joint Secretary of the SKM Youth Wing, led insightful discussions aimed at guiding students and community members on how to navigate adolescence and avoid the perils of drug abuse.

The program saw a strong presence of dignitaries, including Panchayat President Shri Bishnu Niroula, Honourable Panchayat Member Som Nath Khanal, Panchayat Members of Kolthang Tokday GPU, Thakur Karki (Joint Secretary, Labour Wing), Shri BB Bhandari (Additional Director), RS Bhandari (Philanthropist), Gopal Timshina (Former General Secretary, CLC), Vivek Timshina (Contractor), as well as school heads, teachers, and students.

The event underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between government officials, community leaders, and experts to promote the well-being of society, especially in the fight against drug abuse. The resource persons emphasized the need for seeking help and support, urging the attendees to make informed choices for a healthier future.

In her address, Honourable Deputy Speaker Raj Kumari Thapa congratulated the Education Department and Yangang BAC for organizing such a meaningful program. She particularly commended the efforts of Dev K. Chettri (AEO), Padam Bhattarai (Panchayat Inspector, BAC Yangang), Achal Pokhrel (GT Science), and Hem Rizal for their leadership in making the event a success.
