BJP Sikkim gears up for grand 11-year celebration of Modi government with fortnight of events
State President DR Thapa encouraged all party workers to put in their best efforts to make the campaign a success and to focus on public welfare.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Sikkim is preparing to mark the 11th anniversary of the Modi Government with a series of planned activities and programmes aimed at showcasing the government’s achievements and connecting with the public across the state. A state-level workshop was held recently at the BJP City Office in Gangtok to finalize the details of the celebration.
The workshop was attended by senior party leaders including State President DR Thapa, Vice President Shri Dinesh Chandra Nepal, General Secretary Arjun Rai, Spokesperson Passang Gyali Sherpa, along with other party officials and district leaders. During the meeting, the party laid out a schedule of events running from June 9 to June 25, 2025, and distributed responsibilities among various party wings to ensure smooth execution.
Under the banner "Sankalp Se Siddhi," the celebrations will feature a variety of activities such as press interactions, professional meetings, registration camps for central welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat and Eshram across all Assembly Constituencies, and digital campaigns to reach a wider audience.
Key national observances are also part of the programme, including World Environment Day on June 5, International Yoga Day on June 21, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Balidan Diwas on June 23, and the 50th anniversary of the Emergency on June 25. Dedicated party members have been assigned to oversee these important events.
State President DR Thapa encouraged all party workers to put in their best efforts to make the campaign a success and to focus on public welfare. He praised the ongoing Sewa and Sampark Abhiyan efforts and urged the party to expand outreach to meet the growing public interest in government programmes. Shri Thapa also stressed the importance of spreading awareness about the positive changes brought by the Modi Government over the last 11 years.
Other leaders including General Secretary Arjun Rai and programme co-convenors Passang Gyali Sherpa and Lalit Sharma Pokhrel also addressed the gathering, sharing their views and plans to ensure the campaign’s effectiveness.
