The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Sikkim has successfully concluded its three-day-long organizational elections, electing new District and Mandal Presidents across the state. The elections, which took place on Thursday at the State BJP city office, saw Pempo Dorjee Lepcha elected as the District President of Gangtok. Along with him, seven Mandal Presidents from various constituencies under Gangtok district were also chosen. Moreover, Mandal Presidents were elected for two constituencies under the Pakyong district, as stated in a release by the State BJP.
